Since it was labour Day long weekend, I had time to check on my Amazon e-books. And I’m glad I did because my “Landscape tree maintenance” e-book briefly hit the #1 spot under landscape trees or some such category.
What really made me laugh was the e-book just behind mine. It’s called “DIY Cannabis extracts” and sports one review with one star.
Re-purposing
My e-book “Landscape Tree Maintenance” is a collection of tree-related blog posts assembled into one e-book. It’s directed at new landscape maintenance and arboriculture workers. It can also be of some value to home owners with trees on their lots and strata managers responsible for green spaces surrounding multi-family complexes.
True re-purposing involves taking a previously published blog post and expanding it into a new, more detailed beast. This is why I recommend that you publish blog posts frequently. It improves your blog’s search engine optimization (SEO) and it gives you a nice catalogue of blog posts for later re-purposing.
Chapters
I cover many common tree maintenance themes in the book which all landscapers should know about. The same goes for tree workers. Since it takes three years of field experience before people can sit the ISA certified arborist exam, this e-book can help in your overall preparation.
One key theme that never seems to go away is tree topping. Do you know what to tell tree owners to dissuade them from this horrifically destructive practice?
Another huge theme is tree planting. I know, it sounds easy but it’s actually a science. Remember, the long term health of your trees depends on proper planting.
I also cover some ideas that don’t always come up. For example, compaction in the tree root zone as a silent killer. Machine collisions with trees are also destructive. Yes, trees are remarkably resilient but repeated hits by mowers and line edgers can kill them.
I also included some fun stuff, like a chapter called Redneck tree removal and a client complaint about her tree having too many leaves.
Check it out!
My e-book “Landscape Tree Maintenance” is available world-wide on Amazon Kindle for less than a Starbucks grande-sized coffee. I’m one hundred percent biased when I say that it’s a great deal. If you love trees, own trees, or work with trees this e-book should be useful in your quest for improvement.
