How my work inspires the elderly!

Red Seal Vas inspires

It’s funny to say and type but it’s true, my landscape work inspires the elderly. Every two weeks during the season, I line up a number of lawn care clients and bang them quickly in one day. It doesn’t make me rich but it’s a nice, easy, side-hustle. And it can feel routine.

By routine I mean mow, edge, and blow, and repeat until the list is done. Or until boredom sets in and the rest of the clients get pushed to another day. But is it really just a simple routine? Not after getting a text from the daughter of one of my clients.

Ema (not her real name) is 96 and still living in her own home. She’s also legally deaf but you wouldn’t know it from talking to her. She’s an expert lip reader.

With advanced age also come many ailments, which is where I come in. Ema suffers from brutal arthritis; I found this out one day when it took her fifteen minutes to bring my fat cheque to the door. So, her mowing and weeding days are over, even though it’s hard for her to accept these new limits.

Because my Red Seal Vas services are reasonably priced, I get to help people like Ema without ruining her retirement. But it gets better.

The text

Ema’s daughter texted me recently and told me that my lawn care work inspires Ema to get moving inside her house. When she sees her well-maintained lawn, she feels motivated to stay busy in her home. I thought that was awesome. Red Seal Vas inspires the elderly. Of course!

Ema’s front lawn: cut and fertilized.

While it sounds a bit funny, it does show that landscape side-hustles aren’t just about cash. I actually provide good service for good clients who appreciate my help. No, I don’t get rich from cutting Ema’s lawns. I really only make money when I combine several clients into one day. But I’m also not interested in ruining people’s retirements.

Hearing that my work outside inspired an elderly client to stay busy inside is a nice reward. Ema is a sweet lady and she now has budget to get me to do some long overdue weeding in her back garden. I look forward to it because my work inspires the elderly.

I believe, you too, have that power. Let’s do a great job and inspire more elderly people.

  1. Ꭺ motivating discussion is worth commеnt.
I do think that you need to write mߋre about this subject, it might not be a taboo matter but typically people
don’t talk about these suƅjеcts. To the next! Ϲheers!!

  2. Ꭰefinitely beliеve that which you stated. Your favorite
justificɑtion appeared to be on the net the
simpleѕt thing tօ be awarе of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while
рeoрle think about worries that they plainly don’t know about.
You managed to hit the nail upon the top ɑѕ wеll as Ԁefined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people could take
a signal. Will likely be back to gеt more.
    Thanks
